425 Frose

Frose is a Rose, Frankincense Musk attar, with a simple, high note profile compared to my usual work.

It is made with:

Bulgarian Rose Otto EO

Mongolian Deer Musk macerated in Taif Rose EO

Indonesian Sandalwood EO

Orange Sacra Frankincense Absolute

White Champaca Flower EO

Copal Macho Absolute

Maydi Co2

Ambergris

Bitter Yuzu Absolute

Bladderwrack Absolute

Cardamom Absolute

Lime Terpenes

Smelling from the applicator, Frose opens with a clean blast of juicy citrus, peachy rose and ethereal frankincense with a hint of fresh green apples.

It is immediately uplifting to my senses, like mountain air, scented with flowers and fruits.

It has a mouthwatering feel, overflowing with juicy notes of lime, yuzu and maydi.

The Maydi Co2 I used in this is around 6 years old and has matured beautifully, frankincense-like oils tend to have this property of becoming better with age, displaying more vibrant or sheer qualities.

Smelling on the skin, Frose presents the same juicy, floral, citrus elements as smelling the applicator, but after a minute it begins to harmonize and transform.

Frose has a wet, peachy rose note, which is a combination of the white champaca flower and roses.

It also has a delicate sweetness from the cardamom hiding beneath the main notes, bringing a clean, light and airy quality to the blend.

This is an evolution of many previous attars, but 2 come to mind, 1AM and Zeteto. I have been playing around with many of the materials in these blends finding interesting combinations.

This is a simple blend compared to those, it contains no agarwood, but does contain a lot of ambergris and some well aged, rose scented Mongolian deer musk.
