420 Anjira
Anjira is a green, juicy, bright, floral blend made with Fig Leaf, Ruh Khus, Mimosa & Turkish Rose.
This is the first time i have used Fig Leaf Absolute in a blend, and it took me a long time to get acquainted with the aroma. Fig Leaf Absolute is a complex material, displaying very interesting enhancing properties. It seems to act similar to Civet, but while Civet makes blends smell a bit more aged, Fig Leaf seems to make blends smell fresher.
It has a bitter, herbal aroma raw, but when mixed it imparts a velvety quality, creating a heavy layer which other scents can use as a foundation.
Anjira carries this fresh, uplifting quality from the Fig Leaf, brightening all of the other materials. I also used many other green feeling materials in Anjira,
Smelling from the applicator, Anjira has a clean, juicy, citrus aroma, its smells like an orchard of limes on a bright sunny day. It is incredibly zesty, oozing ozone.
There are sparkling, clean, bright floral notes of Osmanthus and Mimosa that hover like a dewy haze over the citrus.
The heart notes also shine with a similar quality. The Fig Leaf seems to hold notes beautifully, like a thick material. Working with this blend was so challenging because of this new modifier in the Fig Leaf, understanding slowly how it held and released notes.
Smelling on the skin, Anjira is really stunning. It begins as soft, bright, yet dense, green citrus aroma with bitter elements of Fig leaf and Lime, with subtle floral notes of Mimosa in the background. But over the next hour, it undergoes a fascinating transformation.
It just gets more and more bright and juicy. First time i wore this after leaving it for weeks, i was really amazed by the progression. After 30 minutes it suddenly increased in projection and vividness. It is like the attar unfolds slowly over an hour and sustains it's bright, uplifting profile for many more.
This almost became Mela Rosa II, as it was heading that way for a while, with it's fruity, green, rosey character, but the Fig Leaf makes it very unique, as well as the amount of materials it has. This is an evolution of many blends i have worked on over the years, and has cumulated into something unique and vibrant.
