439 Eucabid IV

Eucabid IV is clean, mineralic jasmine attar, with co-aged frankincense and myrrh.

I have made 4 batches of this attar so far. It is one of those scents that I have a very clear mental image of. Whenever I smell it, it takes me to a small, clean stone room, perhaps inside a larger temple, some time in the ancient past, jasmine flowers are in a bowl, and the air is fresh with clean incense, no smoke.

This version of Eucabid puts focus on the mineral-like elements, giving the feel of a stony jasmine, with clean, uplifting incense permeating the atmosphere.

This is an ancient trilogy of materials. Jasmine interacts with frankincense and myrrh in very interesting ways. The indoles of jasmine can become converted into rare esters in the presence of frankincense and myrrh. This helps create an enhanced, skin-like scent. This was very much present in earlier versions, but with this version, I steered the aroma in the direction of minerals and soft stone.

Smelling from the applicator, Eucabid IV opens with a clean, refreshing aura of evolved jasmine grandiflorum. It has a delicate sweetness, almost like ice cream, but this feel more floral in nature, with a supporting glow of aged frankincense, and delicate earthy elements of myrrh.

I used some similar creamy florals to enhance the jasmine, mainly lilac and mimosa with a little touch of osmanthus. These florals layer into a voluptuous, juicy, nectar rich scent, with a petal-like waxiness in the topnotes, and a warm, dusty, stone aroma in the base, creating a fluid and balanced contrast.

Smelling on the skin, Eucabid IV opens with a lush, clean floral wave of bright, uplifting jasmine and lilac. It has an overall simplicity in it's profile, clean, floral incense with mineralic and skin-like undertones, but complex details in it's structure.

Eucabid IV has a really pretty, sweet scent in the top notes that connects with a soft dusty stone notes in the base. It also leans into lush, exotic florals with creamy, petal-like notes.

The drydown is gorgeous, with deeper, juicy raspberry-like elements forming from the aged Chang Rai agarwood. It feels like the sun setting, and colours deepening in the sky. Eucabid IV has an intimacy about it, like spending time with a loved one, or in the peace of oneself. It has a human feel to it's aroma, although exaggerated in it's expression. Jasmine plays a part in our biology too, as our bodies can produce jasminoides after death.
